Cassidy Redshaw, LMHC
Infertility, pregnancy & postpartum therapy for people-pleasers and caregivers who are ready to put themselves on the list. Virtual across Florida.
Hi, I’m Cassidy.
You’re the one everyone calls. The friend who remembers every birthday, the daughter who handles the hard conversations, the one who checks on everyone else first. You’re very good at taking care of people. And somewhere along the way, you got very quiet about what you need.
Then you start trying to grow your family, and suddenly it’s all about your body, your needs, your decisions. You don’t quite know how to take up that much space. You smile through another pregnancy announcement. You nod while the doctor rushes past your questions. You answer “So when are you two having kids?” for the hundredth time, then go home and replay it all night. Or the baby is finally here, everyone is asking about the baby, and you can’t remember the last time someone asked about you.
That’s usually when people find me.
You Might Be Here Because
You keep saying “I’m fine” while quietly running on empty.
You can research every protocol but can’t name what you’re feeling.
You’re in another two-week wait and can’t focus on anything else.
You’re grieving a loss or a failed cycle and feel like you should be over it by now.
You’re pregnant and already worried about who will take care of you once the baby comes.
You’re back at work after baby and feel like you’re falling short everywhere.
You’re doing all of this far from your people.
If even one of these landed, you’re in the right place.
I know this road.
Before becoming a mother, I spent nearly three years navigating infertility. I know the calendar math, the waiting, the appointments you sit through alone because you didn’t want to ask anyone to take time off. I know how lonely it feels to be surrounded by people when no one really knows what you’re carrying.
I started my career as a case manager in community behavioral health, working with people the system too often overlooks. In graduate school, I researched how often women have been left out of the mental health research that’s supposed to help treat them. That changed my direction, and I focus on reproductive and women’s mental health with passion. I’ve provided individual and group therapy to clients at every stage, from trying to conceive through infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the parenting years that follow.
As a military spouse, I’ve also rebuilt home in new places more than once, so I understand doing hard things without your usual support system nearby.
