We Are Hiring A 1099 Remote Staff Clinician
Natal Counseling is a boutique, remote reproductive mental health practice based out of Miami, FL, supporting women through trying to conceive, infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting beyond — plus hormonal transitions like perimenopause, across PSYPACT states.
Our clients are often the ones holding everything together for everyone else — anxious, high-functioning, used to being the one in control — navigating the one chapter of life where control isn't on the table. We help them work through that anxiety, through postpartum depression, and through birth trauma, without making them explain what an IVF timeline is, what waiting on a beta result feels like, or why postpartum anxiety isn't just "new mom stress." Many have already tried therapy before with a caring therapist who simply hadn't worked closely enough within the perinatal population to fully get it. Natal exists so our clients don't have to explain what is different about IVF or pregnancy or postpartum in order to get expert support.
We're growing, and looking for a skilled, compassionate clinician to join as a Staff Clinician — someone ready to build toward 15-20 hours/week, with the possibility of room to grow from 1099 into a W2 role down the line for the right fit.
Open to any licensed psychologist or licensed therapist with 2+ years working with adults and at least 1 year with ongoing perinatal clients.
Where You Will Shine
Carry a caseload of women moving through fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, postpartum, and the broader transition into parenthood, as well as potentially those navigating hormonal shifts across the reproductive lifespan.
Bring whichever combination of trauma-informed, insight-oriented, or coping-skills work each client actually needs — this isn't a one-approach-fits-all caseload.
Keep documentation (intakes, notes, treatment plans) current and on time.
Reach out for consultation on the cases that call for it — that's a strength of our expert team of reproductive therapists here, not a weakness.
Show up for clients without asking them to explain or justify the basics of IVF, pregnancy, or miscarriage or what they're going through first.
Build steadily toward a 15-20 hour/week caseload over roughly 2-4 months. Flexible scheduling available.
Who You Are
You are a "yes, and" person who takes initiative and isn’t afraid to ask questions about what they don’t know.
Confident in your clinical skills, and still actively looking to grow — you'll ask for a consultation on a hard case without a second thought.
Someone who works well independently but likes being part of a group.
Comfortable with a 2-4 month ramp-up to 10-15 hours/week.
Requirement: Fully licensed psychologist or fully licensed therapist able to see clients in Florida. Preferred: Fully licensed or license-eligible in New York and other PSYPACT states.
Doctoral degree (for licensed psychologists), or a Master's degree in a relevant clinical field such as counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy (for licensed therapists).
2+ years working with adults, 1+ year working with perinatal clients specifically.
Trauma-informed, with real hands-on experience supporting clients through it.
Comfortable building rapport quickly — you'll likely start out working mostly with Florida-based clients, with room to take on clients in other states you're licensed in.
Possibility of occasional assessment work for interested candidates.
This role is not for you if:
You work strictly from a CBT framework, or you are new to perinatal work and haven't yet worked with at least 5-7 perinatal clients over at least several months per client.

We handle the administrative side (scheduling, billing), so your time goes toward the clinical work, not running a business.
Compensation
Competitive per session rate by perinatal experience and license tier
Paid every two weeks as a flat per-session rate
Self-pay practice; no insurance credentialing required.
1099 contractor, with the expectation of building toward a 15-20 hour/week caseload over your first 2-4 months.
A potential path to W-2 for the right fit. There’s an opportunity to explore a transition around the one-year mark as your caseload is established, demand for your services is strong, and we’ve built a great fit on both sides.
Case consultation is part of how we work here, not something you have to carve out time for on your own.
Start date is as soon as we find the right fit.
